History
Founded in Potomac, Maryland in 2012, in partnership with Friends Research Institute, COG Analytics is a research and technology company committed to identifying and addressing the social and environmental determinants that contribute to poor health outcomes. The company’s focus is on the development of technologies that are designed to promote healthy behaviors.
Friends Research Institute (FRI) was established in the mid 1950s to create a supportive research environment for the interdisciplinary work of behavioral scientists focused on prevention and intervention research in drug abuse treatment. For over 50 years, researchers at FRI have conducted studies in the fields of substance abuse, health, HIV/AIDS, mental health, and criminal justice. FRI is committed to contributing to the well-being of society through studies designed to alleviate health and social problems facing communities.
